Medical Release

The submittal of this camp electronic registration confirms that I understand all reasonable safety precautions will be taken at all times during camp events to protect me during camp. I understand the possibility of unforeseen hazards and the inherent possibility of injury. I understand that in the event that medical intervention is needed for me, minor first aid will be performed onsite. In the case of a more severe situation, every attempt will be made to immediately contact the persons listed on this form. In the event that they cannot be reached, I hereby give my permission to South Reno UMC to call 911 and request emergency services.

I agree to hold South Reno UMC, its leaders, employees, and volunteers harmless from any damages, losses, diseases, or injuries incurred by me , and for photos of me participating in South Reno UMC activities, that are not taken or released by South Reno UMC staff and/or volunteers.

You will be photographed while participating in camp. Any photos taken by South Reno will only be used to promote camp. By submitting this electronic registration, you are authorizing South Reno UMC to use camp pictures on the church website, in church newsletters, on bulletins boards, on church social media sites, or in other church communications to promote camp. We do not reference people by name or provide specific information about people in photographs. The picture of camp will be used to show the various activities of camp and the way in which participants engage in and enjoy those activities.

Volunteer Opportunities

A successful camp is a team effort! There are a variety of roles in which to serve, and we are grateful for your willingness to share your time and talents. While many of the roles require volunteers to be at church during camp, we do have opportunities for volunteers to serve before and after camp, and at home. If you are not sure where to serve, please feel free to email office@southrenoumc.org for assistance on volunteer placement.

I am interested in serving in the following area/areas:

Family Ministry: As you can see, there are no lead teachers. All adult volunteers will be working as a team facilitating and supporting the campers. Crafts and Explorations will be camper-led rather than adult-led experiences.
